Bonnybrook Wastewater Treatment Plant

The Bonnybrook plant serves over 600,000 citizens and processes approximately 376,000 m3 (491,789 cu. yd.) of sewage a day.

The Bonnybrook Wastewater Treatment Plant is the largest of Calgary’s three wastewater treatment plants. Originally built in the 1930s, Bonnybrook has been through many modifications and upgrades over time to increase its treatment capacity to meet the needs of the growing city. Bonnybrook serves the communities north of Glenmore Trail in the Calgary, as well as Cochrane, Airdrie and the Elbow Valley.

TWS Welding was tasked with installing the new monorail or crane beam for the Bonnybrook Water Treatment Plant. It required some structural steel fabrication at the shop and on site welding from our crew to complete the job.
