A Big Cross

This giant cross for a local school took some structural steel welding and heavy lifting.

The cross itself was created in our shop and moved to the installation where it was installed over the main doors of the school.

Weather was a factor as the heavy cross had to be lifted into place and a day without wind was a must to complete the job safely.

Sunny Side Storm Water Lift Station Upgrade

What is a storm water lift station?

Stormwater lift stations are used to manage stormwater within a given area by pumping water away from low-lying areas. The Sunny Side lift station will collect and then re-direct stormwater through underground piping to outfall structures located at the Bow River.

So basically the station will collect flood water and redirect it to keep flooding water from continuing into residential areas in Sunny Side.

The Welding Shop Calgary provided some structural steel modifications with a number of steel stairs and landing areas.

Bonnybrook serves the communities north of Glenmore Trail in the Calgary, as well as Cochrane, Airdrie and the Elbow Valley.

TWS Welding was tasked with installing the new monorail or crane beam for the Bonnybrook Water Treatment Plant. It required some structural steel fabrication at the shop and on site welding from our crew to complete the job.
